All villagers’ houses have their functional sanitary toilets since 2007. They keep bamboo dustbins all over the village and throw even the dry leaves fallen from the trees into the dustbin. People of this village not only clean their houses but also they sweep the roads and plant trees. This indicates cleanliness is an inseparable part of their lifestyle in Mawlynnong village.
